Famous faces to ride through Frankfurt (Oder)

Germany will enjoy an early taste of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship as the WorldSBK Ride In Frankfurt (Oder) takes place this weekend.

The Ride In event will be staged from 11:00-14:00 local time (GMT +2) on Saturday 20 August, ahead of the Pirelli German Round on the weekend of 16-18 September which will mark WorldSBK’s first race event at the Lausitzring since 2007.

On Saturday the town of Frankfurt (Oder) will rock to the sound of World Superbike engines, each giving out well over 200 horsepower. On-hand to guide the machines through closed public thoroughfares will be Germany’s Markus Reiterberger (Althea BMW Racing Team), Xavi Fores (Barni Racing Team), Karel Abraham (Milwaukee BMW) and Superstock 1000 rider Julian Puffe (Agro On-Benjan-Kawasaki). Several riders from the German national Superbike Championship will also attend.

The riders will be in action close to the Oder river, taking to the Karl-Marx-Straße. Not only will the bikes make their way down the street, but they will assemble in a miniature WorldSBK paddock with stage and speaker, where the crowd will be able to stroll amongst the World Superbike team trucks. Riders will be on-hand for interviews and autographs at the stage, while competitions will allow fans the chance to win WorldSBK goodies ranging from official merchandise to VIP race tickets.

Don’t miss your chance to get up close and personal to WorldSBK in Germany this Saturday! Festivities will be taking place from 11:00-14:00 local time (GMT +2).
